GENERAL CARE

It is best to wash your jeans before the first wear to reduce indigo transfer onto lighter objects such as furniture or your favorite white t-shirt. Color may bleed for the first few washes and can tint other articles in the same load. For basic blue denim, we recommend machine wash inside out with like colors to prevent fading, preferably in cold water on a gentle cycle. Tumble dry on low heat.

Your jeans have gone through several wash processes during the production cycle so the vast majority of fabric shrinkage has already occurred. However, if you are concerned about further shrinkage, the jeans can be line-dried. Note that typically after wear and wash, your jeans will shrink back to their original shape.

It is best to limit the number of washes between wears to ensure longevity of your garment.

HAND WASHING

Delicate fabrics and unique hand-crafted washes or dyes may require a little extra tender love and care in order to make them last. We suggest that you launder these special items by hand and as infrequently as possible. Refer to your detergent’s recommended hand-wash instructions and lay the garment flat to dry. Make sure to always read the care label inside the garment prior to washing.

DRY CLEANING

For items with dry clean only care instructions, we suggest doing so only when absolutely necessary. The chemicals used in the dry cleaning process may weaken the fabric over time, reducing the lifespan of your garment.

ALTERATIONS

Although we strive to make perfect-fitting jeans, all bodies are beautifully unique and you may wish to alter your garment for a custom and personalized fit. Depending on your specific height and inseam, your jeans may need to be cut shorter to achieve a desired length. Be sure to wash them prior to alterations to allow for possible shrinkage. For items with dry clean only care instructions, we suggest doing so only when absolutely necessary.
